The lease is up. The 50+ kids cared for by the incredible Aminata Sylla — yes, that Aminata whose life has been dedicated to orphans — are now facing life without a secure place to call home.

Wings for Kids is flying out on May 16th to meet Aminata, assess the local situation, and begin what we hope will be a life-changing journey:
building a permanent orphanage for these children.

In the meantime, we’re packing two suitcases full of love and essentials — because these children still need basic things most of us take for granted.

 

Here’s what we’re bringing:
• Notebooks, pens, pencils, erasers
• Toothbrushes + toothpaste
• Bars of soap
• Reusable sanitary pads (for older girls)
• Underwear + socks
• Reusable water bottles
• Pencil cases + small backpacks
• A few solar lamps
• Simple games (UNO, skipping ropes)
